Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HostQ website at hostq.co, the HostQ software and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by HostQ ("we," "us").
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
2. The Service
HostQ provides vacation rental management software for short-term rental hosts and property managers, including calendar and booking management, channel synchronization, guest messaging, guest profiles, check-in instructions, cleaning and turnover scheduling, owner reporting and pricing tools. Features may change over time.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, for all activity under your account, and for ensuring the information you provide is accurate. Notify us promptly at support@hostq.co of any unauthorized use.
4. Plans, trials and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis as selected. Free trials convert to a paid plan only if you choose to continue. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise in writing. We may change prices with reasonable advance notice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: violating any law or third-party right; sending unsolicited or unlawful messages; uploading malicious code; attempting to gain unauthorized access; or reselling the Service without permission. When you use the Service to communicate with guests, you are responsible for obtaining any consents required by law, including for text messages.
6. Your data
You retain ownership of the data you and your guests submit ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited license to process Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party channels and services
The Service may connect to third-party platforms such as Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, payment processors and messaging providers. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or changes they make that affect integrations. HostQ is not affiliated with or endorsed by these platforms.
8. SMS / text message terms
These SMS terms apply to the HostQ guest notification text message program. The full SMS Terms are also available at hostq.co/sms-terms.
Program name: HostQ Guest Notifications
Sender: the HostQ text number
Message types: account notifications only: booking confirmations, check-in instructions, guest profile updates, reservation changes and stay reminders. No marketing or promotional messages.
Frequency: Message frequency varies (based on your reservations and account activity).
Cost: Msg & data rates may apply.
Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to cancel. Help: Reply HELP or email support@hostq.co.
How you opt in
You opt in by entering your mobile number and checking the unchecked consent box on our guest text sign-up page or, optionally, on another HostQ form that offers text notifications. Checking the box is never required to make a booking, request a demo, or purchase anything.
Opting out and getting help
Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any message. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for help, or email us at support@hostq.co.

Carriers and supported devices
Supported on major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by factors outside our control, such as coverage or device settings.
Privacy
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with service providers (such as our SMS delivery provider) solely to deliver the messages you requested. See our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, logos and content (excluding Customer Data), is owned by HostQ and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works except as permitted by these Terms.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee that calendar synchronization will prevent every double booking, or that pricing suggestions will produce any particular result.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HostQ WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. On termination, you may request an export of your Customer Data within a reasonable period.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may update these Terms from time to time; the effective date above shows the latest version.
