This Privacy Policy explains how HostQ ("we," "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit hostq.co, use the HostQ service, or receive guest notifications from us.

1. Information we collect

• Information you provide: name, email, phone number, company, number of listings and messages you send us (for example, through our demo request form).
• Guest information: when hosts and property managers use HostQ, we process guest details such as names, contact information, reservation dates, guest profile details and messages on their behalf.
• SMS opt-in information: your mobile number, the date, time and page of your opt-in, the consent language you agreed to, and your opt-out requests.
• Usage information: device, browser, IP address, pages visited and similar technical data collected automatically.

2. How we use information

• To provide, operate and improve the Service, including calendar sync, messaging, turnovers and reporting.
• To send account notifications you requested, such as booking confirmations, check-in instructions, guest profile updates, reservation changes and reminders.
• To respond to demo requests and support inquiries.
• To secure the Service, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

3. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data

We use mobile numbers collected through SMS opt-in only to send the HostQ guest notifications you agreed to receive and to honor HELP and STOP requests. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data or consent with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with service providers (such as our SMS aggregator and carriers) solely to deliver the messages you requested. 4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only:

• With service providers who help us operate the Service (hosting, messaging delivery, payment processing, analytics), under contractual confidentiality obligations and only as needed to perform services for us. This does not include sharing mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data for marketing.
• With the host or property manager who manages your reservation, and with connected booking channels as needed to manage that reservation.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of HostQ, our users or others.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy's protections.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to run the site and, where permitted, to understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations, and we keep records of SMS consent and opt-outs as required for compliance. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP and unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information. To make a request, contact privacy@hostq.co. If your information was provided by a host or property manager, we may refer your request to them.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
